The RGK HiLite is a rigid daily wheelchair, made to the rider's measurements in titanium, for someone who propels a chair through the day.
Who is the HiLite for?
It suits a rider who wants a rigid titanium chair built to their body, open frame or closed. It is a poor fit if the chair must fold in half for a small car.
How do you check the fit?
Seat width and depth run from 9.85 to 19.65 in. Front seat height is 15 to 21.5 in. Measure hip width and thigh length, or book a free home assessment.
What are the limits?
The rider limit is 125 kg (275.5 lbs), or 100 kg (220 lbs) with a handbike. Rear wheels are quick release.
Safe use
- Wheel locks hold a still chair; they are not brakes for slowing on a slope.
- Do not use the chair on slopes over 5 degrees.
- Anti-tips are recommended for new riders. They are not a substitute for the rear wheels.
- A tied-down chair is not a vehicle seat; move to the car seat when you can.
How does it compare?

Frequently asked questions
Does the frame fold for the car?
The frame stays rigid. You can order a folding back, and the rear wheels come off on quick-release axles.
Is this the same chair as the Octane FX?
No. The HiLite is the rigid titanium chair. The Octane FX is a separate RGK model with a front folding lock.
Can I add a handbike?
Yes, and the HiLite is then capped at 100 kg (220 lbs), driver plus anything carried on the chair.
Do I have to transfer into the car seat?
A wheelchair tied in a vehicle is not a car seat, so transfer where you can.

Warranty
Warranty details
RGK Wheelchairs warrants the HiLite made-to-measure wheelchair against manufacturing and material faults, from delivery to the customer. Faulty parts are repaired or replaced free of charge; claims go through the authorized reseller where the chair was bought.
- Frame and cross-braces: 5 years.
- Other parts: 12 months.
- Original spare parts fitted later at the owner's cost: 12 months from fitting.
- Not covered: pads, tyres, inner tubes and other consumables (unless a manufacturing fault wears them early), and damage from poor maintenance, non-original accessories, neglect, accident, improper use or unapproved changes.
