The Orthex Sensia Waterproof Queen is a 6 in (15 cm) foam homecare mattress, 60 x 80 in, with a stretch polyester cover and a waterproof membrane.
What does it do and how does it work?
It layers gel-infused memory foam over a high-resilience core and a firm support base.
- The ventilated, gel-infused memory foam top is the comfort layer.
- The Velva high-resilience core sits under it.
- A high-density polyurethane base carries the foam, with ultra-firm foam at the edges.
- The stretch polyester cover has a waterproof membrane; Orthex calls it hypoallergenic and medical-grade.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits a person up to 750 lbs (340 kg) on a queen bed or homecare frame who wants a waterproof surface.
- Orthex advises a firm feel for back or stomach sleepers, and a semi-firm for side sleepers who want slight sinking.
- The order code sets the feel; we confirm it before you order.
- It is a 60 in queen, not a 35 or 36 in hospital-deck mattress.
Will it fit?
It is a standard queen, 60 x 80 in, and 6 in high.
- Capacity is 750 lbs (340 kg); the lower of that and the bed's safe working load applies.
- Place it on a uniformly firm, even surface and use a mattress protector.
- If the base has rails, Health Canada advises gaps under 120 mm (4 3/4 in) in zones 1 to 3 and 60 mm (2 3/8 in) in zone 4.
- A used mattress cannot be returned under our return policy.
Using it day to day
Allow 2 to 4 weeks to adapt to the new firmness.
- Rotate it head to toe about every 3 months to spread the wear.
- Spot clean stains, or remove the cover for dry cleaning; do not machine wash it.
- There is no pump, hose or power cord.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
It fits a queen bed or adjustable base with a firm, even surface.
- It is a foam comfort mattress, not a powered pressure-relief surface.
- It is a queen household size, not a hospital-bed size.
- The waterproof cover still needs a separate mattress protector, as Orthex advises.

Orthex Canada warrants the Sensia Waterproof mattress for ten years from the date of purchase against manufacturing or component defects.
- Mattress: 10 years from purchase.
- When Orthex approves a claim, it replaces the mattress with the same model or an equivalent.
- Warranty claims go directly to Orthex by email or phone.
