The Serenity vertical platform lift carries a wheelchair, scooter or standing rider to a raised home entrance when a ramp would be too long.
Who does a porch lift suit?
- It serves someone who cannot manage the entrance steps but can use the platform safely. Rider and mobility device together must remain within 750 lb.
- For a lower rise, compare a GATEWAY ramp; someone able to transfer to a stair seat can compare a stairlift.
What must fit at the entrance?
- Serenity offers a Standard 36 x 48 in platform and a Premium 36 x 54 in platform. We confirm the platform size before you order.
- Measure rise, door sill, walkway, platform turning space and a firm, level base. The maker lists 28, 52 and 72 in heights, plus taller DC configurations.
- An AC lift uses a 110 V supply. A DC lift uses two 12 V batteries for a 24 V supply, and the batteries are not included.
What protects the rider?
Keyed, hold-to-run controls, an emergency stop and an automatic ramp guard are listed safeguards. Under-platform sensors stop motion at an obstruction; use the manual's emergency lowering procedure.
What must be arranged for installation?
A firm base, power and any landing gate are site-specific. Taller lifts require a landing gate that is not included. Annual dealer inspection is required by the manual.

Frequently asked questions
Will the lift run in a power failure?
A DC configuration can run on its charged batteries. An AC configuration needs household power.
Does the lift replace a home elevator?
No. It is an open platform for an entrance rise, rather than an enclosed lift between interior floors.
What maintenance keeps warranty cover?
The owner inspects the lift every 2 months. A dealer inspection is mandatory once a year.

Warranty details
Serenity Health Care Products warrants the VPL-SH1 vertical platform lift, sold by an authorized Serenity dealer, to the original buyer against defects in materials and workmanship for 36 months from delivery.
- Main frame weldment: 3 years.
- Motor drive system and electrical components: 1 year.
- Labour and shipping: not covered.
- Requires installation and maintenance by an authorized Serenity dealer; the 12-month inspections must be kept up for cover to continue past 12 months.
- Excludes modifications not made by Serenity, items the buyer adds, damage to the exterior coating outside normal use, and abuse or misuse.
