The EZ-ACCESS GATEWAY 3G is a one-piece solid surface ramp for a low entrance rise where a folding ramp is unnecessary.
Who does this ramp suit?
- It suits repeated wheelchair or scooter access at one step or landing. It has no handrails; see the GATEWAY with rails if someone needs a rail.
- It stays mostly at one entrance and does not fold for daily car travel. For transport, compare the SUITCASE Signature.
Which length fits the rise?
- Measure ground to sill top. A gentle 1:12 starting point uses about 1 ft of ramp per inch of rise. The maker's steeper usage figures run from up to 4 in at 3 ft to 15 in at 10 ft.
- Check the mobility device manual's incline limit before choosing a length. The ramp cannot be joined to another for a higher rise.
- The 36 in usable deck is 37 in overall. The Canadian 850 lb (386 kg) rating counts person and device together.
How does it sit and move?
Side curbs help contain wheels. A top transition plate has pre-drilled holes for securing the ramp; the bottom plate adjusts to the ground.
The 3 to 10 ft lengths are carried as one piece and stored flat. Ramp-only weight ranges from 24 to 72 lb, so plan help with a long piece. Clear snow and ice from the tread.
