Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits a person who needs help with a seated transfer, standing up or moving up in bed.
- For a full lift out of bed, use a patient lift and sling instead.
- If the person cannot take weight through their legs, a hoist and sling are the safer choice.

Using it day to day
Place it under the seat to move someone higher up in bed, or behind the back and seat to help them raise.
- For a bed to chair transfer, the maker pairs it with EasyGlide, and sometimes EasyBelt or FlexiBelt.
- Wipe the nylon with disinfectant, or wash at 60-80 C (140-176 F); no fabric softener and avoid tumble drying.
- Check the seams and material before use and discard the aid if it is worn or faded.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
It is a transfer and repositioning aid, not a lifting device.
- For a wheelchair to bed transfer, use an EasyGlide sliding board, and sometimes an EasyBelt or FlexiBelt.
- Under the shoulders, an EasySlide reduces friction when moving someone higher up in bed.
- For positioning, it also works with the EasySlide 50 x 60 mat and WendyLean.

Frequently asked questions
Is 3012 the same as 3030?
No. Both are 20 cm long and 60 cm wide, but 3012 has a nylon inside and 3030 a polyester velvet inside.
When is a second carer needed?
For raising, when the person needs help with both legs and upper body, one carer takes the legs and the other the upper body.
Can it be used in bed?
Yes; place it under the seat to move someone higher up, or behind the back for raising.
