Description
The Drive 11120SV-1F is a wheeled, knock-down commode with a padded vinyl seat, drop arms and swing-away footrests. It carries 350 lb (159 kg) and is built for bedside use, not the shower.
What does it do and how does it work?
- Seat: 16 by 16 in (41 by 41 cm), padded vinyl, with 18.5 in (47 cm) between the arms.
- Arms: each drops on a release button for a side transfer.
- Castors: four locking castors, with 22.25 in (57 cm) outside the arms for the doorway check.
- Footrests: swing away and detach, and turn inward until they lock.
- Pail: a collection pan with a lid that comes out from the back.
- Build: knocks down for transport, 27.99 lb (12.7 kg), with a wide backrest.
- Capacity: 350 lb (159 kg).
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- For a bedside commode that a carer can wheel to the bed and a person can transfer onto from the side.
- For a shower chair, choose the Drive 11114KD-1.
- For a steel wheeled drop-arm commode sold as a pair, choose the 11101W-2.
- For a powered tilt chair, see the tilt commodes.
Will it fit?
- It is 22.25 in (57 cm) wide outside the arms, so measure the doorway and the space beside the bed.
- With 18.5 in between the arms, check the user's width and the transfer from the mattress height.

Using it day to day
- Lock all four castors before the person sits down or gets up.
- Drop the arm on the transfer side, then swing the footrests in until they lock.
- Take the pan out from the back to empty it; the lid goes with it.
- Lock the knobs on the back poles and snap the seat clamps on when assembling; it knocks down again for transport.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- It carries 350 lb (159 kg). It is a bedside commode, not a shower chair.
- The arms are for assistance only; do not use them to take full body weight.
- Limited lifetime warranty, casters excluded; see the Warranty tab.
- Bathroom safety items are non-returnable under our return policy, so measure first.
How does it compare?
The 11114KD-1 is the lighter aluminum shower chair; the 11101W-2 is the steel wheeled pair. The rest are under wheeled commodes.
