The Ezee Life CH1092 is the 24 inch chair in the steel standard line, with a 400 lb (181 kg) capacity.
What does it do and how does it work?
- The steel cross brace frame folds by lifting the two seat handles and carries 400 lb (181 kg).
- 24 in (61 cm) rear wheels with pushrims self-propel; the solid rear and caster tires never need air.
- The arms lift off on push pins and the footrests swing away and detach for transfers and transport.
- Brake handles pull back to lock the wheels.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- A rider up to 400 lb (181 kg) who needs a 24 in (61 cm) seat, self-propelled or pushed.
- A narrower seat: the 22 in CH1091 keeps the same steel frame and 400 lb rating.
- A lighter chair: the 20 in CH1094 or 18 in aluminum CH1096, both 300 lb (136 kg); for tilt or pressure relief, see tilt wheelchairs.
Will it fit?
- Measure seated hip width, back of hips to back of knee, and back of knee to heel in usual shoes.
- The seat is 24 by 18 in (61 by 46 cm), 17.5 to 19.5 in (44 to 50 cm) from the floor; the back is 15.5 in (39 cm).
- Open it is 32.5 in (83 cm) wide and 45.5 in (116 cm) long, so measure the narrowest doorway.
- The chair is 43 lb (19.5 kg) plus 3.6 lb (1.6 kg) of footrests; keep 2 in (5 cm) of ground clearance under the footplates.
Using it day to day
- To fold, flip the footplates up or remove the footrests and pull up the two seat handles; push down the frame to open.
- Press the push pin and lift each arm with both hands for a side transfer; check they lock before moving.
- Pull a brake handle back to lock and push it forward to release; loosen the footrest bolt to set leg length.

- The seat takes off-the-shelf or custom seating in 24 by 18 in (61 by 46 cm); our wheelchair cushions fit.
- The 400 lb (181 kg) limit is for this 24 in chair; elevating legrests are optional and not included.

Warranty details
Ezee Life warrants the CH1092 standard 24 inch wheelchair against manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship for one year, for the original purchaser. Ezee Life's distributor, Factory Direct Medical, repairs or replaces defective parts at its option.
- Whole chair: 1 year from the date of purchase.
- Claims need the original receipt, the purchase date and the serial number.
- Not covered: normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse, abuse, negligence, alterations, improper assembly, and freight or travel costs.
