The Handicare H2 is a shower and commode chair for someone who needs to sit while showering and while using the toilet.
What does it do and how does it work?
- You stay seated to wash, so you do not have to stand in the shower.
- The same chair is used at the toilet, so washing and toileting share one seat.
- The chair on your quote is the one matched to your bathroom before you order.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
Choose it when standing for a shower or a toilet transfer is no longer safe. A bath bench is for the shower only and does not replace the toilet. Choose the H2T when the seat must lean back. Choose the H3 when the user needs a heavier-duty chair.

We confirm the seat height, the floor space, and the user weight before you order. Measure the doorway and the space beside the toilet, and bring those sizes to a free home assessment.
Using it day to day
Stay seated for the shower and for the toilet. This chair is not a handhold. Add a grab bar where you need to hold on. Bathroom items are not returnable: see the return policy.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
Use it for a seated shower and a seated toilet. It does not lift you. A sling transfer needs a patient lift, which is a separate piece of equipment.
Which version should I choose?
- H2 when you want a shower and toilet chair and you can sit upright.
- H2T when a carer needs the seat to lean back for hair washing.
- H3 when the user needs a heavier-duty frame, and H3T when that heavier-duty chair must also lean back.
How does it compare?
A bath bench stays in the shower and does not sit over the toilet. The H2T adds a reclining seat for a carer washing hair.

Does a commode pail come with the chair?
Ask for a pail if the chair will be used away from the toilet. A pail is not assumed on the quote.
Can it roll from room to room?
Tell us if the chair must roll between rooms. Wheels are part of the quote, not a guess.
What colour can I get?
Colour is chosen on the quote. Tell us the colour you want and we will match it to the chair.
