Description
The Harmony Relax Firm mattress with transfer edge is a 10 in (25 cm) foam mattress made in Canada, sold in Queen, Full and Full XL with a firmer edge for sitting on the side of the bed.
What does it do and how does it work?
- Three foam layers: 2 in of GelFlex foam on top for temperature regulation, 2 in of firmer foam in the middle for rebound support, and a 6 in firm foam core.
- The transfer edge is Harmony's named edge for sitting on the mattress side to get in and out. It is not a rail.
- The foam is designed to contour with an adjustable bed base.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- A person up to 350 lbs (159 kg) who sits on the edge of the bed to stand.
- A home or facility bed that takes a Queen, Full or Full XL mattress.
- Someone who needs a higher limit should look at the Relax XC, rated 600 lbs (272 kg).
- Someone who needs alternating pressure needs a powered surface.
Will it fit?
- Queen: 59 x 79.5 x 10 in (150 x 202 x 25 cm).
- Full: 53 x 74.5 x 10 in (135 x 189 x 25 cm).
- Full XL: 53 x 79.5 x 10 in (135 x 202 x 25 cm).
- Hi-Low decks are about half an inch longer: Queen 80 in, Full 75 in, Full XL 80 in. Expect a small shortfall at the foot, not a wider mattress.
- The mattress height plus the deck sets transfer height and the gaps to the rails. Health Canada recommends gaps under 120 mm (4 3/4 in) within and under the rail, and under 60 mm (2 3/8 in) at the rail ends; a thicker mattress changes them. Check this mattress with the bed rails before use.
- A mattress that has touched skin cannot be returned, so measure first. See the return policy.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- It works on a flat deck or an adjustable base.
- The edge is not a rail and does not prevent falls.
- King is not offered with the transfer edge; the King comes only in the plain Firm or Plush.
- The Twin XL with transfer edge is a separate, narrower mattress: the Twin XL edge.
- The lower of the 350 lbs (159 kg) mattress rating and the bed's safe working load applies.

- Relax Firm Twin XL with transfer edges is the same edge in a 38 in (97 cm) width.

Does the transfer edge stop a fall?
No. Harmony names it for sitting to get in and out; it is not a rail.
Can I order a King with the edge?
No. King comes only without the edge, in Firm or Plush.
Do the smaller sizes hold less weight?
No. All three edge sizes are rated 350 lbs (159 kg), are 10 in (25 cm) high and carry the same 10 year limited warranty.
