Harmony Relax Firm Foam Mattress, No Transfer Edge

The Harmony Relax Firm is a 10 in (25 cm) foam mattress from Harmony's Canadian-made Relax line. It comes in Full, Full XL, Queen and King, all without a transfer edge, under part numbers FIRMFL, FIRMFLXL, FIRMQN and FIRMKG.

What does it do and how does it work?

It combines a cooling GelFlex top with a firmer middle and a firm core.

• The 2 in (5 cm) GelFlex top is made to regulate temperature.
• The 2 in (5 cm) middle layer is firmer and rebounds.
• The 6 in (15 cm) core is designed to contour with the Harmony adjustable base.
• The firm surface supports transfers and turning.

Who is it for, and who should choose something else?

It suits a person up to 350 lbs (159 kg) who wants the firmer of the two Relax feel options.

• Choose the Plush for a softer top in the same sizes.
• Choose a transfer-edge model if the bed needs one; those are separate products.
• Choose the Relax XC above 350 lbs (159 kg), or a medical pressure-relief mattress if the care plan calls for one.

Will it fit?

Match the size to the deck; the mattress is 10 in high.

• Full 53 x 74.5 in (135 x 189 cm); Full XL 53 x 79.5 in (135 x 202 cm); Queen 59 x 79.5 in (150 x 202 cm); King 76 x 79.5 in (193 x 202 cm).
• Split king is two Twin XL pieces, each 38 x 79.5 in.
• Harmony's Hi-Low decks are Full 53 x 75, Full XL 53 x 80 and Queen 59 x 80, so those mattresses sit about half an inch short; there is no king deck.
• Capacity is 350 lbs (159 kg); the lower of that and the bed's safe working load applies.
• The 10 in (25 cm) height changes rail height. Health Canada advises gaps under 120 mm (4 3/4 in) in zones 1 to 3 and 60 mm (2 3/8 in) in zone 4.
• A used mattress cannot be returned under our return policy.

Using it day to day

Place it on the deck or adjustable base and make the bed as usual.

• There is no pump, hose or power cord.
• The core is made to work with the Harmony adjustable base.

What does it work with, and what are its limits?

It fits a Harmony adjustable bed or Hi-Low deck of the matching size.

• It is not a powered pressure-relief surface and does not alternate pressure.
• It has no transfer edge; the transfer-edge versions are separate.
• It is not for a user above 350 lbs (159 kg).

How does it compare?
