Description
The Hoyer one-piece sling, large 70051, is a polyester loop sling rated 600 lb (272 kg) for passive lifts. Small 70053 and medium 70052 are the other sizes.
What does it do and how does it work?
A caregiver places the one-piece under the person and hooks the shoulder strap and the leg loops on the front and rear hooks of a Hoyer loop cradle.
- It is for someone who stays in the sling while the bed is made or during a bath, and for an amputee after a qualified person has assessed the fit.
- There is no head panel. Support the head by hand while the person is raised.
- Large 70051 is green. Medium 70052 is yellow. Small 70053 is red.
- Do not pull the loops to shift the person, and do not leave the person unattended.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It is for a person on a passive Hoyer lift who can remain in the sling for care.
- Choose the padded U-sling with head support when the sling itself has to hold the head.
- Choose the one-piece commode sling when the sling needs a toileting opening.
- A person who can stand needs a sit-to-stand lift.
Will it fit?
Small, medium and large are the sizes. Treat any weight guide as a starting point only, because body shape changes the fit.
- This polyester one-piece has no extra-large code.

Using it day to day
Check the sling and the stitching before every use. Discard it if it is bleached, torn, cut, frayed or broken.
- Machine wash warm, and do not go above 185 F (85 C). No bleach. Cool tumble or air dry. Do not dry clean.

What does it work with, and what are its limits?
Use it on a Hoyer loop cradle on the HML400, CHLA-2, HPL402 and CHLA-2T.
- Do not hang it on another maker's lift. The sling and the lift each have a load limit, and the lower one applies. This sling stops at 600 lb (272 kg).
- A Hoyer Classic sling is warranted for 6 months to the original owner. A repair or a change to the sling ends that warranty. See the Warranty tab.
Which version should I choose?
Large green 70051 is the biggest of these three. Medium is 70052. Small is 70053.
- The commode one-piece is coded 70058, 70057, 70056 and 70055; the last is an extra large.
How does it compare?
The commode one-piece is the same loop style with a toileting opening.
- The padded U-sling with head support adds a head panel this one-piece does not have.

Frequently asked questions
Does a lift come with item 70051?
No. This is the sling only. The lift is separate.
Can I use this one-piece on a Hoyer Advance?
No. It belongs on the HML400, CHLA-2, HPL402 and CHLA-2T, not the Advance.
Does the large include the smaller sizes?
No. Small 70053, medium 70052 and large 70051 are separate choices. Ordering the large does not send the others.
Can the sling be altered to add a head panel?
No. Do not alter it. A changed sling is no longer covered, and a worn one should be discarded.

Warranty details
Joerns Healthcare warrants the Hoyer Classic one-piece sling, large 70051, against defects in materials and workmanship, and replaces a sling that proves defective within the warranty period.
- Sling: 6 months from purchase.
- Covers the original purchaser only.
- A replacement is covered only until the original warranty period ends.
- Joerns may ask for the sling to be returned for inspection, at the customer's expense.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, neglect, wilful damage, unsuitable surroundings and care that does not follow the instructions.
- Any alteration, modification or repair voids the warranty.
