Slings are purchase only. We do not rent slings. Our team helps confirm the correct size and lift attachment.
Description
The Hoyer repositioning sling, codes NA25710 and NA25711, is a mesh sheet that stays under the top sheet for turns and transfers on a passive Hoyer lift.
What does it do and how does it work?
It lies under the top sheet and connects to a loop spreader bar, so the lift takes the weight.
- The fabric is breathable, pliable mesh.
- Straps come as standard loops or as figure-8 loops.
- For a move in bed, the bar may sit parallel or perpendicular to the person.
- Raise only to a flat, face-up position.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It is for a caregiver moving a person who does not help with the lift.
- Choose the Hoyer Twin Turner, NA25705, when you need a turning sling with bed straps. It is rated 625 lbs (283 kg).
- Choose a full body sling when the person should be lifted in a hammock, not on a flat sheet.
- Do not hang it on another maker's lift. Hoyer slings and lifts are not made to mix.
Will it fit?
The standard size and the wide size are each rated 1000 lbs (454 kg), with loop straps or figure-8 straps. NA25710 is the standard code.
- NA25711 is the bariatric repositioning sling.
- Use a loop bar on the Advance, Elara, HPL450, HPL500, Presence or Stature.
- Use a bariatric loop bar on the Calibre or the HPL700.
- The person, the sling and the lift each have a rating. The lowest one is the limit.
Using it day to day
Check the mesh and the stitching before every use, and discard a bleached, torn, cut, frayed or broken sheet.
- Do not alter the sling, and do not leave the person unattended on the lift.
- To turn, keep the bar parallel and attach only the straps opposite the turn.
- If the person should finish in the centre of the bed, move them to that side first, then turn.
- Keep the bed siderails up for a turn, or have a second caregiver there.
- For a seated transfer, set the bar across the person, start at the head with the white loops, and leave the fifth strap set off.
- Do not drag the person by pulling on the loops.
- Machine wash at no more than 185 F (85 C). No bleach and no dry cleaning. Cool tumble or air dry.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
It is for passive lifts only, on the Hoyer loop bars named above.
- It meets BS EN ISO 10535.
- A competent person assesses the sling, the position and the transfer before the first use.
Which version should I choose?
The two codes are standard NA25710 and bariatric NA25711.
- Each size is made with standard loops or with figure-8 loops.
- We confirm the loop style, standard or figure-8, before you order.
How does it compare?
The Savaria sheet-style repositioning sling is another mesh sheet for moves in bed.

Frequently asked questions
Can the sheet stay on the bed between moves?
Yes. It is placed under the top sheet and can stay there until the next turn or transfer.
Can I use it to lift someone out of bed into a chair?
Only as a seated transfer on a passive lift. It is a flat sheet, not a hammock sling.
Should I check it again after washing?
Yes. Washing and drying can damage the sheet, so inspect it before the next use.
