The Invacare 5410IVC is a full-electric homecare bed with the deck 15 to 23 inches (38 to 58 cm) off the floor.
Who is it for?
- One adult at home who needs the head, the foot and the height to move, plus a caregiver.
- Occupant limit 350 lbs (159 kg). Total load 450 lbs (204 kg), including the mattress and rails.
- Not a low bed, and not for more than one person. Over that limit, see bariatric beds.
Will it fit the room?
- Overall it is 88 inches (223 cm) long and 36 inches (91 cm) wide. The deck is 36 by 80 inches.
- Deck height is 15 to 23 inches, plus or minus 2 inches, without the mattress.
- Three cartons: ends 54 lbs, foot spring 77 lbs, head spring 43 lbs. Two people should carry them.
- The three cartons add to 174 lbs.
- It does not fold. Some set-up steps are marked for a qualified technician.
- The three cartons hold the frame, bed ends, casters, pendant and crank. Rails and a mattress are sold separately.
Which mattress and rails are safe on it?
- Use an Invacare 36 by 80 inch mattress: 5180, 5184, 5185, 5185XL, Solace, Softform or microAir, plus mattress keepers.
- The wrong size or thickness changes the gaps at the rail, where entrapment happens.
- Use only Invacare rails: full-length 6629 and 6629P, half-length 6630DS, and assist rail 6632.
- Drive rails are not approved on this frame.

What happens if the power goes out?
A crank lowers the bed only, and it must come off before you use the pendant. There is no battery on this model.
What does package IVC-PKG include?
The cartons hold the frame, bed ends, casters, pendant and crank. Rails and a mattress are sold separately from the 5410IVC frame.
Should I buy or rent?

Warranty details
Invacare warrants the IVC full electric hospital bed, bought new and unused from Invacare or a dealer, against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. Invacare repairs or replaces a defective product at its option.
- Mechanical and electrical components: 2 years.
- Welds: 5 years.
- Labour and shipping for repairs or part installation are not covered.
- Covers the original purchaser only; not transferable. A copy of the seller's invoice is required.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, negligence, accident, improper operation, maintenance or storage, unapproved modifications or repairs, removed serial numbers, and not following the instructions.
