Description
The Jay Contour anterior trunk support (dynamic ATS9107 and ATS9100 to ATS9104S, structured ATS9300 to ATS9304S) is a chest harness with less contact area, for someone who does not want a full panel on the chest.
What does it do and how does it work?
The panel has a narrow centre and side cutouts, so less of the harness rests on the chest, including for women.
- Dynamic parts give with high tone or involuntary movement.
- Structured parts hold a set chest position when posture slips through the day.
- It is not a JAY Your Way modification, and it is not the broader Classic panel.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It is for someone who needs anterior support with less of the pad against the chest.
- Choose the Jay Classic when you want the broader panel and maximum stability.
- Choose the centre-opening buckle when transfers need the chest to open at the centre.
- Choose the Y-Style when the straps should sit over the shoulders in a Y.
Will it fit?
Width runs across the chest. Depth runs up and down the pad. Medium depth is 18.5 in, not the Classic medium of 19 in.
- Early intervention, dynamic ATS9107: 6.5 by 9.75 in (16.5 by 24.8 cm). No structured mate.
- Extra small, ATS9100 or ATS9300: 7.5 by 12.5 in (19.1 by 31.8 cm).
- Small, ATS9101S or ATS9301S: 8.5 by 15 in (21.6 by 38.1 cm).
- Medium, ATS9102S or ATS9302S: 9.5 by 18.5 in (24.1 by 47.0 cm).
- Large, ATS9103S or ATS9303S: 10.5 by 22.5 in (26.7 by 57.2 cm).
- Extra large, ATS9104S or ATS9304S: 11.5 by 25.5 in (29.2 by 64.8 cm).

Using it day to day
Put it on after the transfer, at the fit the seating specialist set.
- Dynamic and structured are different part numbers. One support does not switch between them.
- Made to order is ATS9109 dynamic or ATS9309S structured. Early intervention stays dynamic only.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
It straps to the wheelchair back it was fitted to. The chair, cushion and back are separate.
- It positions the trunk. It is not a vehicle seatbelt. In a vehicle, use it only if it carries the ISO 16840-4 marking.
How does it compare?
The Classic is the broad panel. The centre-opening buckle opens down the middle for transfers. The Y-Style uses shoulder straps. See other anterior trunk supports, or book a free home assessment.
Frequently asked questions

No. Dynamic and structured are separate part numbers. Order the construction you need.
Does the chair come with it?
