ECSBED-600 is the Joerns EasyCare 600 lb long-term-care bed package.
Who is this package for?
- A long-term-care or home setting that needs a 600 lb full electric frame.
- Not a person over 550 lb (249 kg). The 600 lb load also counts the mattress and accessories.
- Not the retired 76 in bed or the 500 lb EasyCare, which used code ECSBED until January 2023.
Will the family frame fit the room?
- The standard sleep surface is 35 by 80 in. Overall length at that deck is 84.25 in (214 cm).
- Deck height on the family is 7 to 30 in before you add a mattress.
- Width can be 35, 39 or 42 in, and length 84 or 88 in, only if that option is on the frame you receive.
- One frame rolls only when low; the other rolls at any height. We confirm which frame this code is before you order.
- A free home assessment can check the doorway before a wider deck is locked.
What the family frame does, and what it does not
- Four actuators move the deck. AdvanceCare does height, back and knee, pauses at 30 and 45 degrees, Comfort Chair, AutoContour and a transfer height.
- Battery and staff control are sold separately.
- Use a mattress at least 35 in wide and 6 in deep, as long as the deck. Match 39 or 42 in if opened. See therapeutic mattresses.

How it compares

Frequently asked questions
How do the two frames roll?
Roll-in-low rolls only when the deck is low, on rubber feet and locking casters. Roll-any-height uses CareLock foot pedals and rolls at any height.
Can I fit a rail from another maker?
Only if that maker says it fits and it locks. Use an EasyCare assist device made for the frame, locked before you leave the person.
What does Sleep Mode change?
Sleep Mode drops idle power to 0.5 W when the bed is still. It does not remove the height, back or knee controls.
Is the 76 inch EasyCare still current?
No. Joerns retired the 76 in bed and the 500 lb models in January 2023. The current sheet is the 600 lb, 80 in bed.

Joerns Healthcare warrants the EasyCare bed in this package (ECSBED-600) against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service, from the date of delivery.
- Mechanical and electrical components: 4 years.
- Steel structural components: 15 years.
- Welds: lifetime, defined as 20 years.
- Wear parts such as DC batteries and pendants: 90 days.
- Excludes damage from unsuitable environments, abuse or poor maintenance; any alteration, modification or repair not done or approved in writing by Joerns voids the warranty.
