Description
The Leckey Squiggles Seating System is a starter seat for a young child: one size for ages about 1 to 5, low to the ground so the child is at eye level with the children around them. It has a four-point pelvic harness, a ramped cushion and tilt-in-space.
What does it do and how does it work?
- Pelvic support: a four-point harness integrated with the hip pad to hold the pelvis in a neutral position.
- Seat: a one-piece base with an adjustable sacral support and a ramped cushion for a stable base.
- Laterals: shaped pads with a fabric tip; a small chest harness can attach for more trunk support.
- Tilt: tilt-in-space, with the back from 10 degrees prone to 25 degrees recline, changing posture without disturbing the overall position.
- Footplate: height adjustable, with 10 degrees of plantarflexion and dorsiflexion.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It is for a child aged about 1 to 5 who needs a snug seat for eating, playing and table work, and for a family or nursery that wants the child low to the ground.

- One size: stature 29.5 to 43.3 in (750 to 1100 mm); maximum weight 48.4 lbs (22 kg).
- Seat width 6.3 to 10.2 in; seat depth 7.5 to 11.4 in; hip width 6.3 to 8.7 in.
- Backrest height 12.6 to 15 in, or 16.5 to 18.9 in with the shoulder support.
- Seat to floor 10 to 25.6 in on the hi-low chassis.
Using it day to day
- Secure all harnesses before moving the seat or leaving the child, and fasten the pelvic harness first.
- Lock all castors when the seat is stationary.
- Use maximum height or maximum recline only on level ground (under 2 degrees). On slopes up to 10 degrees, keep the back upright and the seat below half height.
- Keep fingers clear of the powered mechanism and pinch points.
- Check the seat daily and clean with a non-abrasive cleaner and a moist cloth; no running water, hoses or power washers.

Leckey offers a hi-low chassis, Mygo+ bases and the ZIPPIE Iris and TS bases. Which suits depends on where the seat will be used.
Can the seat be used on the floor?
Yes. It is designed to sit low to the ground, which is what makes eye-level play and learning possible.

Leckey warrants the Squiggles seating system for three years. The warranty covers every Leckey manufactured product and component.
- Seat, chassis and Leckey manufactured accessories: 3 years.
- Applies only when the product is used for its intended purpose, under the stated conditions and following Leckey's instructions.
- Any modification to the product voids the warranty.
