Leckey Squiggles Stander compact frame for children aged 1 to 5

The Leckey Squiggles Stander is a compact 3-in-1 standing frame for a child aged about 1 to 5, up to 48 lb (22 kg). It sits low to the ground so the child joins others at eye level, and it can hold the child prone, upright or supine.

What does it do and how does it work?

The chest and pelvic supports adjust in height, width and angle to fit the child.

• Chest and hip supports each fit a width of 6.2 to 9 in (160 to 230 mm); the knees sit 5.5 to 8.4 in (140 to 215 mm) apart.
• The tray sits at 21.8 to 32.4 in (555 to 825 mm) prone or 18.8 to 32.4 in (480 to 825 mm) supine.

Using it day to day

Set the chest and hip supports to the child, then the footplate and tray.

• Lock the castors and secure the pelvic and chest harnesses before placing the child in.
• Use it indoors on a level surface; never on a slope over 5 degrees.
• Check the harnesses, knobs and bolts daily; if the child shows distress, remove them safely.

What does it work with, and what are its limits?

It is a standing frame, not a mobility device.

• Chassis: lock the castors; it is not for moving the child between rooms.
• Small parts: tighten knobs and bolts within reach; they are a choking hazard.
• Cleaning: non-abrasive cleaner and a moist cloth; no running water or power washer.
