Will it fit?
- Sizes: 12 combinations, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 or 32 in wide by 16 or 18 in high. The part number is MBSHDBL for the basic lateral or MBSHDUL for the ultra lateral, plus width and height, so MBSHDBL2216 is 22 by 16 in.
- Chair width: the pins adjust for up to 2 in (51 mm) difference in seat width and out a further 1 in (25 mm); extension pins for wider frames are sold separately.
- Custom sizes: a custom Lunar Heavy Duty size is made to order by quote.
How does it work?
- A ribbed aluminium shell carries replaceable foam and a removable cover, and the shell can be used as shown or upside down for positioning.
- The basic or ultra lateral is built into the shell. Four add-on lateral styles (fixed, height adjustable, fixed offset and adjustable swing away) are ordered separately, and the back is ready for a headrest.
- Quick-release clamps fasten to the back posts, with three screws and an Allen key setting the height. Depth and angle are set with the person seated, and the lower latches release it.
What are the care limits?
- The cover is a removable 4-way stretch fabric or a moisture-resistant infection control fabric; five colours are offered.
- Machine wash the cover cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, without fabric softener or bleach, and air dry it in the shade; never machine dry it. Wipe the shell and hardware with a damp cloth.
- The warranty is 3 years on the back, 1 year on the hardware and 90 days on the cover.
