ORTHEX-HF-TXL is the Twin XL Orthex headboard and footboard kit. Double (ORTHEX-HF-DBL) and Queen (ORTHEX-HF-QN) are their own kits for the matching Sophia bed.
What does it do and how does it work?
- The kit closes the head and the foot of the frame with a board instead of an open end.
- The headboard is 30 in (76 cm) high and 4 in (10 cm) thick.
- The footboard is 20 in (51 cm) high and 4 in (10 cm) thick.
- The cover is a waterproof pale grey mix, and the boards are removable.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- It suits a Sophia 2, Sophia 3 or Sophia 4 in a bedroom where the frame should look like furniture.
- Choose the bed with open ends if you do not want boards.
- It is not a side rail, a mattress or a bed frame.

- The kit is the two boards. Rails, the mattress and the adjustable base are separate.
- Fixed rails and retractable rails are different accessories, listed beside this kit.
- The boards do not include a bracket for a headboard you already own.
How does it compare?
- The Sophia 2 lists this kit in Twin XL and Queen, and it does not raise the deck.
- The Sophia 3 hi-low bed and the Sophia 4 queen bed list Twin XL, Double and Queen.
- The retractable side rails add a rail. This kit adds the boards. More frames are under homecare beds.

Can I buy the headboard on its own?
No. Each item number is one kit with the headboard and the footboard for that size.
Will a Double kit fit a Sophia 2?
A Sophia 2 takes the Twin XL or Queen kit. Double is for the Sophia 3 and the Sophia 4.
Will these boards fit a bed that is not a Sophia?
No. It fits the Sophia 2, the Sophia 3 and the Sophia 4 only.
Can I attach a headboard I already own to a Sophia 3?
Brackets are not included. The Orthex headboard attaches to the frame. A headboard you already own stays loose or is fixed to the wall.
