The Pride Go-Go Elite Traveller 2 (SC442E) is a four-wheel travel scooter that comes apart into five pieces and turns in 37 in (94 cm).
Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
- A rider up to 300 lbs (136 kg) who can steer a tiller with both hands and keep both feet on the floorboard.
- Grass, gravel or a steep driveway is the wrong surface. The obstacle limit is 1.97 in (50 mm) and the slope limit is 6 degrees.
- There is no suspension and no light. For a rougher sidewalk, compare the Go-Go LX.
- If you need a cushion or back support for posture, ask your therapist about a power wheelchair.
Will the pieces fit the car?
- Five pieces, no tools: lower the tiller lock knob, then lift off the seat, battery pack, basket, front section and rear section. Work on level, dry ground with about 5 ft (1.5 m) of room, never lift by the armrests, and get help with the heavy pieces. The front section is 35 lbs (15.9 kg).
- Without batteries it weighs 83 lbs (37.7 kg). The 18 Ah pack adds about 27 to 30 lbs (12 to 13 kg).
- The seat is 17 by 17 in (43 x 43 cm), swivels for transfers, and its armrests pivot up.
- Length 39.4 to 40.8 in (100 to 104 cm). Width 19.45 in (49.4 cm). It slows automatically as you swing into a tight turn; a three-point turn needs about 57.4 in (146 cm) of corridor.
Batteries and freewheel
- Two 12 V 18 Ah batteries are included. Range is up to 16.7 km (10.4 mi) at 300 lbs, or 22.1 km (13.8 mi) at 220 lbs. Hills, rough ground and older batteries shorten that.
- Charge 8 to 14 hours before first use and after each day's use, then 4 more hours once the charger shows full. Used weekly or less, give it 24 hours once a week and 48 continuous hours once a month.
- Plug into a wall outlet, never an extension cord; the scooter will not drive while charging on board. It powers down after 20 minutes idle.
- Freewheel only on level ground, key out, and never sit on it in freewheel. Never ride it as a vehicle seat: it does not meet ISO 7176-19. We replace worn batteries.

Does it have a headlight?
No. Pride's feature table does not list a light on this model. Do not plan on riding after dark.
Can I charge the pack off the scooter?
Yes. The charger works through the tiller port, or on the pack after you lift it out.
Is one rear accessory the limit?
Yes. Pride allows one rear-mounted accessory.

Warranty details
Pride Mobility warrants the Go-Go Elite Traveller 2 sold in Canada to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship.
- Structural frame (main frame, fork, seat post, tiller frame): limited lifetime.
- Transaxle, motor brake (electronic function), brake, bearings and bushings: 2 years.
- Controller, charger, harnesses and other electrical parts: 2 years.
- Pride batteries: 13 months from purchase.
- Excludes wear items (shrouds, motor brushes, upholstery and seating, brake pads, tires and tubes, fuses and bulbs), abuse, misuse and non-Pride parts.
- Labour, service calls and shipping are not covered unless Pride authorizes them in advance. Service is by an authorized Pride provider.
