Description
The Transformer 2 (maker model S3026) folds itself by key fob and adds front and rear suspension.
Who it suits, and who should choose something else
- A rider up to 300 lbs (136 kg), including anything carried, who can lift 55 lbs (24.9 kg) with the battery out.
- If that lift is too much, the Go-Go Carbon is lighter and folds by hand.
- The original Transformer, without suspension, is a different and discontinued scooter: Solax Transformer.
- If you need a cushion or back support for posture, ask your therapist about a folding power wheelchair.
Check the fold and the width
- It folds by key fob or the Open and Close buttons on the control pod, or by hand with the red release bar. One piece, plus the battery.
- The fob stops halfway with a beep; press again. The red bar works at any time.
- Folded size 18 in long by 22 in wide by 25 in high (45.7 x 55.9 x 63.5 cm). Open length 38 in (96.5 cm). Allow 22 in (56 cm) across.
- Turning figure 55 in (140 cm). Ground clearance 3.25 in (8.3 cm) under the floorboard and 1 in (2.5 cm) at the anti-tip wheels.
- Tiller height 19 to 31 in above the floorboard. The seat is 17 in wide, 15 in deep and 22 in from the ground.
Battery and flying
- One removable lithium pack is included: 24 V 10 Ah, 259 Wh, UN 38.3 tested, about 4.1 lbs (1.85 kg). Range up to 21.7 km (13.5 mi) per charge.
- Charging takes 5 to 6 hours; allow 12 to 14 hours for a completely full charge. Charge it fully before first use, after each day's use and monthly; never let it run fully flat.
- A frozen pack must warm for several days before charging. The 2 A charger plugs into the control pod.
- The airline must approve it before you fly. Take the pack into the cabin if they accept it.
- We replace worn batteries. A spare remote is an option, not included.
Using it day to day
- The pod has a digital display, a five-bar battery indicator with voltage, a speed knob, a horn, a light switch, a key ignition, a USB charger and the charging port.
- The loop handle puts forward on the right lever and reverse on the left. A freewheel lever at the rear left lets you push it; it beeps if you switch on in freewheel.
- It turns off after about 15 minutes without moving.
- Best on dry, level concrete or asphalt. Short grass and hard gravel need care; avoid loose gravel, soft soil and sand, and keep it off frozen, slippery or salty ground.
- Switch the key off before getting on or off. No stairs or escalators, no hose on the controls, and it is not a seat in a moving vehicle.
Frequently asked questions
