Description

The Leckey Pronestander is a prone standing frame for children and young adults aged 1 to 18. It holds the child leaning forward at one of five angles from 45 to 85 degrees, with adjustable chest, hip, knee and sandal supports.

What does it do and how does it work?

The frame supports the chest, hips, knees and feet.

  • Five angles: 85, 75, 65, 55 and 45 degrees.
  • Chest and hips: an adjustable chest pad and a pelvic belt that de-rotates the hips and aligns the pelvis over the base.
  • Knees and feet: an adjustable knee plate and cups, and sandals that hold the feet.
  • Frame: robust and easy to reset for another child, on lockable castors.

Who is it for, and who should choose something else?

It suits a child whose standing programme calls for a forward lean.

Will it fit?

Three sizes by standing height and weight.

  • Size 1: age 1 to 5, standing height 31.4 to 45.3 in (800 to 1151 mm), max 132 lb (60 kg).
  • Size 2: age 4 to 10, standing height 43.3 to 57 in (1100 to 1448 mm), max 176 lb (80 kg).
  • Size 3: age 9 to 18, standing height 55.1 to 72.7 in (1400 to 1849 mm), max 198 lb (90 kg).
  • Chest pad height 18.5 to 53.1 in (470 to 1350 mm); tray 21.2 x 15.1 in to 25.3 x 18.1 in (540 x 385 mm to 645 x 460 mm).

Using it day to day

Lock the castors, place the child in, and secure the pelvic band before the chest and knee straps.

  • Set the angle and the chest height before the child is in the frame; do not change either while it is in use.
  • Never use it on a slope over 5 degrees; it is for indoor use between +5 and +40 C.
  • Check the harnesses, sandals and chest pad before each use; if the child shows distress, remove them safely.

What does it work with, and what are its limits?

It is an indoor standing frame, not a transport aid.

  • Castors: lock them before placing the child in, and keep knobs and bolts within reach tight; small parts are a choking hazard.
  • Cleaning: non-abrasive household cleaner and a moist cloth; no running water or power washer.
  • Warranty: 3 years on Leckey manufactured products and components; terms in the Warranty tab.
