Who is it for?
- An adult who needs a 48 inch deck, not a 36 inch frame (15033, 15235, 15005LP or 15006LP).
- The 48 inch safe working load is 750 lbs (340 kg), including person, mattress and accessories. No separate patient weight is published.
- Not the 54 inch 15303LW if you need more than 750 lbs.
Will it fit the room?
- Sleep deck: 48 by 80 in (122 by 203 cm). Measure the doorway for the deck before the bed ends go on.
- Ground clearance is 16 to 24 inches under the frame, not a deck height and not a sleep height.
- We confirm the deck height with the casters on before you order.
- Three cartons, 294 lbs, assembled in the room by one person, with no tools.
- It is a homecare support, not a bed for patient transport.
Which mattress and rails are safe on it?
- Use a 48 by 80 inch mattress at least 5.5 inches thick. A 36 inch mattress leaves side gaps, where entrapment happens.

What happens in a power cut?
The bed stays put unless you add the separate 15302LWB battery pack, and there is no crank. The pack fits the 48 and 54 inch beds only.
What is not in the cartons?
No mattress, rails or battery pack. Add a 48 by 80 inch mattress, and rails 15021BV-LW only if the care team agrees.

Warranty details
Drive Medical warrants the full electric lightweight bariatric bed, 48 inch (15302LW), to the original purchaser. During the warranty period, Drive repairs or replaces defective items at its option at no charge.
- Welds and frame: lifetime.
- Motor and hand control: 5 years.
- All other parts and components: 1 year.
- Drive may ask for broken parts back for evaluation before a credit is issued; parts shipped next day air are at the customer's expense.
- Void if parts or accessories other than authorized Drive Medical replacements are used.
