Drive Medical

Drive Medical Elevate Upright Walker

The Drive Medical Elevate Upright Walker is a four-wheel upright walker with forearm pads instead of ordinary rollator handles. It suits someone who walks more comfortably with the forearms supported and the hands on upright grips. Drive Canada lists that pad height as handle height: 39 to 44 inches (991 to 1118 mm). The seat is 21 inches from the floor, the limit is 300 lbs (136 kg), and the frame weighs 24.8 lbs (11.2 kg). Sit-to-stand handles are on the blue model only. It is not a transport chair.

Description

Drive Medical's Elevate is an upright walker: blue item UPWKRBL10 and grey item UPWKRGY10. The supports you set are forearm pads, not ordinary rollator handles.

Who is the Elevate for?

The Elevate is for someone who walks with the forearms supported, not for someone who wants a transport chair.

What height do the forearm pads cover?

  • Forearm pad height: 39" to 44" (991-1118 mm), listed by Drive Canada as handle height
  • Handle extension: 4" to 6"
  • Seat: 18" wide, 10" deep, 21" from the floor (457 by 254 by 533 mm)
  • Overall size: 25.8" wide by 31.5" long (655 by 800 mm)
  • Overall height: 48" to 53" on the 2024 sheet. The Canadian one-page list does not print it.
  • Wheels: Front 10" (254 mm), rear 8" (203 mm)
  • Product weight: 24.8 lbs (11.2 kg)

Folded width and length are not published.

How does it fold?

It folds side to side with one hand. Drive does not print the folded width or length, so we cannot promise it fits a trunk or a closet.

How do the brakes, seat and forearm pads work?

Loop lock brakes and an adjustable-length dual handbrake control the wheels, and the forearm pads are the supports you set for height. Drive Canada does not print whether the handbrake is squeezed or pressed, so we do not guess.

Which colours are available?

Blue is item UPWKRBL10 and Grey is item UPWKRGY10. Sit-to-stand handles are on the blue model only.

How does the Elevate compare?

The Elevate is the upright walker in this set. The Stella and the Airgo Fusion are seat-height rollators with ordinary handgrips.

Frequently asked questions

Are the sit-to-stand handles on both colours?

No. Drive Canada's page for this walker says sit-to-stand assist handles are currently on the blue model only. Blue is item UPWKRBL10. They do not turn the walker into a transport chair.

What does it weigh, and what is the limit?

Drive Canada and the 2024 sheet both list the product weight as 24.8 lbs (11.2 kg) and the user limit as 300 lbs (136 kg).

Will the folded walker fit my car?

We cannot say from the published sheet. Drive prints a one-handed side-to-side fold and does not print folded width or length.

Funding may help: see who may help pay.

Drive Canada prints Limited Lifetime and does not list separate terms for the frame, brakes or upholstery. Keep your invoice. See the Warranty tab.
