Winter

Certified for -15 °C to 50 °C

Access BDD certifies the HomeGlide Outdoor from -15 °C to 50 °C (5 °F to 122 °F), so the coldest Ontario days fall outside that range. We talk through where it goes and how it is covered.

  • No promise of use on every winter day: the certified range is the limit
  • Snow and ice on the steps are cleared by the household

Questions

Access BDD HomeGlide Outdoor questions

Anything else, ask us. Most answers take a minute on the phone.

Call (905) 798-1853

How much does a HomeGlide Outdoor cost?

It depends on the lift, the rail, the seat and options, and the installation. We measure for free and give you a written quote. Nothing is ordered until you approve it.

How we price

There is a gate or a door at the foot of the steps. Is that a problem?

We look at the gate, the path and where the chair parks at the measure, before we suggest anything.

Does the HomeGlide Outdoor work in a power cut?

Two 12 V, 9 Ah batteries power it. Ask us how many trips to expect for your steps.

How much weight can the HomeGlide Outdoor carry?

Access BDD rates it 350 lb up to 45°, and 300 lb from 45° to 53°.

Can an outdoor stairlift be used in winter?

Access BDD certifies the HomeGlide Outdoor from -15 °C to 50 °C, so the coldest Ontario days fall outside that range. Savaria says its outdoor packages are for moderate climates. We talk through where it goes and how it is covered.

How is it kept from the weather?

A cover protects it from rain, dust and sunlight, and a key lock stops others using it.
