Description
The Drive Nitro Sprint Rollator is a side-folding four-wheel rollator with a slow-down brake, a padded seat and a frame rated to 350 lb (159 kg), in three seat heights and three colours.
What does it do and how does it work?
- The seat is 18 in (457 mm) wide by 10 in (254 mm) deep, with a windowed backrest and a removable bag that mounts in more than one place.
- Pull both brake levers up to slow down; one click down sets a slow-down drag and two clicks down parks.
- 10 in (254 mm) front wheels and 8 in (203 mm) rear wheels carry the frame.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- It suits someone who wants a rollator with a rest seat and handles from 29 in to 39.4 in, depending on the size.
- It is not a wheelchair: do not move it while someone is seated.
Will it fit?
- Seat height picks the size: Hemi 18 in (457 mm), Standard 21 in (533 mm) and Tall 23 in (584 mm).
- Handles run 29-33, 30-36.5 and 32-39.4 in.
- All sizes share an 18 in (457 mm) seat, 18 in between the handles, a 24 in (610 mm) overall width and 27.5 in (699 mm) length.
- Measure the narrowest doorway and the crease behind the knee; our free home assessment checks both.
Using it day to day
- Fold it side to side with one hand: pull the seat up, push the grips together, and the under-seat lock clicks.
- Sit straight on a flat, even, solid surface with both brakes locked, and do not lean back.
- The bag holds up to 11 lb (5 kg); do not hang anything on the backrest.
- Wipe it with a mild cleaner, do not use bleach, and keep it out of heat above 104 F (40 C) for long periods.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- The capacity is 350 lb (159 kg), for one person.
- A curb assist on the rear wheel, an accessory mount and an adapter come fitted; the cup holder, phone holder, cane holder and tray are sold separately.
How does it compare?
- The Nitro Heavy Duty is the heavier, wider Nitro.
- The Nitro 3-wheel rollator has no seat and no back support.
- Our 4 wheel rollator range lists the other seats and capacities.
The warranty is limited lifetime for the original buyer; casters, grips and rubber parts are excluded. We deliver and set up across Toronto and the GTA, setting the handles with you.
