Description
The Ezee Life EZ8RGT is an 8 ft aluminium multifold ramp with grip tape, support legs and a travel bag.
What does it do and how does it work?
Two pieces lock together with pins, then unpin and fold to about half the length and half the width.
- Open size is 29 x 100 x 2 in (73 x 252 x 5 cm). Capacity is 600 lb (272 kg).
- The ramp weighs 52 lb (23.4 kg). The travel bag weighs 3 lb (1.35 kg).
- Folded size is 15 x 52 x 9 in (38 x 131 x 22.5 cm), with carry handles.
- Four height-adjustable legs sit in the centre, and raised rails run the sides. The deck is a super-grip coating on marine-grade aluminium.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- Someone who can lift 52 lb (23.4 kg) and needs a portable ramp for a step, a doorway or a vehicle.
- Choose a longer ramp when the rise is above about 8 in (21 cm).
- Choose a fixed ramp if nobody can lift 52 lb (23.4 kg).
Will it fit?
- At 1:12, 100 in covers about 8.3 in (21 cm) of rise. Ezee Life rates 8 ft for 16 in (41 cm) with a person on it, 24 in (61 cm) empty.
- Open width is 29 in (73 cm). Measure the walker or wheelchair at its widest point, including anti-tippers.
- Folded length is 52 in (131 cm). We confirm this length against your rise before you order.
Using it day to day
- Pin the left and right pieces together for the crossing. Take the pins out to fold each piece.
- Set the four centre legs to add support under the middle of the ramp.
- Carry it by the handles at 52 lb (23.4 kg), or pack it in the bag.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- Walkers and wheelchairs, at or under 600 lb (272 kg).
- The 100 mm (3.9 in) connection plate is rubber-coated so it does not scratch a step or a vehicle. Certified to EN ISO 12100:2010.
- Check it before each use, keep the tread free of dirt and debris, and never use it as a scaffold or bridge.
Which version should I choose?
- The 10 ft EZ10RGT is the next length, at 63 lb (28.6 kg). The 6 ft EZ6RGT is the shorter, lighter ramp at 35 lb (16 kg).
How does it compare?
The 10 ft ramp uses the same width, capacity, legs and bag, with an open length of 123 in (313 cm).
The 6 ft ramp weighs 35 lb (16 kg) for a lower rise. More lengths are on the portable ramps page, and a free home assessment can measure a difficult rise.
