Description
The Airgo adult one-button folding walker, item 770-160, is a silver walker with plastic glide tips and no wheels.
What does it do, and how is it built?
- One button on the front crossbar folds the frame, and the sides lock open for walking.
- The front bar also works as a support rail over a commode bowl.
- Handles adjust from 31.5 to 38 in (80 to 96.5 cm).
- The tube is 1 in anodized aluminum.
- All four legs end in plastic glide tips; there are no wheels.
- The frame carries up to 300 lb (136 kg).
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- It suits someone who needs a folding walker without wheels.
- For a shorter user, the small frame is item 770-165.
- For a walker that rolls, choose a wheeled model instead.
Will it fit?
The handles adjust from 31.5 to 38 in (80 to 96.5 cm), and the frame folds for a car or a closet.
- Set the grips at the crease of your wrist with your arms hanging, then add a small bend at the elbow.
- Open the sides until they lock before you take a step.
Using it day to day
- Press the yellow button and swing the sides in, keeping your hands clear of the hinges.
- Lift the frame and place it, then step in; the tips do not roll.
- Replace the tips when the plastic wears flat.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- One adult walker is one order; the small frame and the wheels are other items.
- Do not take the walker onto stairs.
How does it compare?
- Walkers shows the full range.
- Type 1 walkers covers the folding walkers with wheels.
- Walking aids lists the canes and other aids we sell.
Frequently asked questions
Are front wheels already on this walker?
No. This is the tips version. Rolling front wheels belong to other Airgo items and are not in the box.
Will the small frame arrive with the adult one?
No. Item 770-165 is a separate order; the two sizes are not packed together.
How do I fold it without pinching a finger?
Press the button on the front bar, then swing the sides in with your hands clear of the hinges.
Can the open frame stand over a toilet?
Yes. The front bar is made as a support rail over a commode bowl. Use it only with the frame fully open.
