Pride's 20Ah Battery Box is the sealed 25.2 V lithium-ion pack for the Jazzy Ultra Light power chair, part of our power chair batteries range. It is the longer-range of the two packs Pride sells for this chair.
Which chair does it fit?
Only the Pride Jazzy Ultra Light in its 20 Ah configuration. It is not the Jazzy Carbon 24 V 12 Ah box, not the 22 Ah Battery Box for scooters, and not a lead acid pair. Pride does not sell bare cells, so the box and the pack are one part.
10 Ah or 20 Ah?
- Range: up to 16.4 miles (26.3 km) at 200 lb (91 kg) and 14.4 miles (23.1 km) at 300 lb (136 kg), against about 8 and 7 miles with the 10 Ah box.
- Weight: 7.4 lb (3.4 kg) against 4.96 lb (2.25 kg) for the 10 Ah box.
- Air travel: Pride marks the 20 Ah box as not airline compliant; only the 10 Ah box is.
Charging, care and limits
- Charge in the chair or with the box lifted out, using the off-board charger that comes with the chair.
- Charge at least weekly if you use the chair weekly or less, and once a month over 30 days of storage. Never store a flat battery.
- Operating -20 C to 50 C, storage -5 C to 25 C and charging 0 C to 40 C.
- The sealed box is not serviceable: replace the whole box, not the cells.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put a 20 Ah box in a chair that came with the 10 Ah battery?
Yes. Pride lists the 20 Ah box as an accessory that raises the range; only the 10 Ah box stays airline compliant.
Can I replace just the battery cells?
No. Pride seals the box and calls it non-serviceable, so the whole box is the replacement part.
Will a Jazzy Carbon battery fit?
No. The Jazzy Carbon uses a 24 V 12 Ah box, a different voltage and part.
