Description
The Avero Comfort is a fixed care tub that rises for the carer and lowers for the transfer. The Canada manual limits it to hospitals, care facilities and nursing homes.
Who it is for
- Not a home walk-in tub. The stated use is a care facility.
- Not the Avero Motion, which reclines, and not the Premium Plus.
Will it fit the room?
- Outside size is 210 cm by 80 cm (82.7 by 31.5 in). Empty weight is about 110 kg (242.5 lb).
- Inner length is 177 cm (69.7 in). The manual prints two inner widths, 57.5 cm and 72.0 cm, and two depths, 40.0 cm and 42.0 cm. We confirm the opening before you order.
- Lift is 68 to 108 cm, and the tub is open on two sides for a patient lift.
- Fill is about 270 L without the person. The 400 kg safe working load includes that water.
- Install needs a protective earth and a 120 V 60 Hz supply (the manual allows 4.5 A). A qualified person connects the water and the drain. See bathroom modifications when the room has to change.
What is not included
- Staff test the water on an ungloved hand, or read a thermometer, before anyone steps in. The mixer is set to the building's supply at start-up.
- Automatic water stop is article 910609300. The emergency lower on a power cut is 910609250. Neither is standard.
- Also separate: tub shortener 910609200, air spa 910609400, aroma 910609150, colour light 910609600, music 910609500, Bluetooth sound 910609550, and a change of viewing direction 910609100.
- A nursing stretcher has to be ordered with an adapted tub. It cannot be added later.
- The motors run 2 minutes, then rest 18. Expected service life is about 8 years.
- Clean with a soft cloth and soapy water or a plastic cleaner. No abrasives, and no spray or solvent on the control panel. Disinfect after each use. It is not sterilizable.

Frequently asked questions
Is 250 kg the most it can hold?
250 kg (551 lb) is the patient limit. The 400 kg safe working load is the person and the water together, not a heavier person.
Can it be installed in a house?
The manual's stated use is a hospital, care facility or nursing home. A house still needs a plumber, an electrician and a measured room.
What if the power fails?
The emergency lower is optional, article 910609250. The standard tub does not include it.
