Description

The Drive Deluxe Folding Travel Walker, item RTL10263KDR, is a red two-wheeled walker with 5 in front wheels and rear glide skis that folds to half the size of a standard walker.

What does it do and how does it work?

  • The frame weighs 6 lb (2.7 kg) and carries up to 300 lb (136 kg).
  • Each of the four legs unclips and clips into a receptacle on the frame; elastic cords keep the legs attached.
  • Two 5 in (13 cm) front wheels and rear glide skis suit most indoor surfaces, with no hand brakes.
  • Two side-storage pouches hang from hook-and-loop tabs on both side frames.
  • Release triggers under the padded grips fold the frame.

Who is it for, and who should choose something else?

  • It suits someone who wants a stable walking frame they can lift and stow, not roll.
  • Without hand brakes it is not for anyone who needs to slow the wheels on a slope.
  • A four-wheel rollator has a seat and brakes for resting partway.

Will it fit?

  • Handles adjust from 29.5 in to 36.5 in (75 to 93 cm); with your arms down, the grip should sit at wrist height with your elbows bent 20 to 30 degrees.
  • The frame is 26.5 in (67 cm) across; measure the narrowest doorway on your route.
  • Our free home assessment measures the doorway and the route.

Using it day to day

  • Pull the release triggers up, fold the frame, then lift each leg out by its pin and clip it into the receptacle.
  • Check each leg pin sits inside its lock collar and the height holes match on all four legs.
  • Keep each glide ski centred with the front lip turned up, and lift the walker to move it rather than pushing one side ahead.
  • Never use it on stairs or escalators.

What does it work with, and what are its limits?

  • The capacity is 300 lb (136 kg).
  • Front legs with wheels (10263KDRWHEEL), rear legs with glides (10263RL), leg clips (10263LEGCLIP), pouches (10263KDRPOUCHES) and the carry bag (10263KDRCARRYBAG) are spare parts.
  • Fit Drive accessories only.

How does it compare?

  • The two-wheel walker range lists other folding frames.
  • A rollator suits someone who needs to sit partway; this walker does not seat anyone.

We deliver and set up across Toronto and the GTA, setting the handles and showing you the fold. The walker has a limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser; rubber accessories, wheels and grips are excluded. Our service team handles repairs and spare legs.

Frequently asked questions

Can the legs come right off?

Yes. Press the pin above the leg collar, pull the leg out and clip it into the receptacle. The elastic cords keep it attached.

Does the carry bag come with it?

The folded walker fits the Ready Set Go bag, part 10263KDRCARRYBAG. We confirm whether a bag ships in the carton before you order.
