Savaria ErgoBelt Plus, padded velour, item 230210

Item 230210 is the velour ErgoBelt Plus, model 3100. It is a padded belt with a buckle and four handles, for a caregiver hold while someone walks or changes seats. Savaria says it is not for lifting.

What is this belt for?

• The December 2024 sheet marks the Plus line not for lifting. The July 2020 instructions allow a transfer assist only.
• Savaria aims it at a person who walks, when staff still want a secure hold.
• Item 230200 is the unpadded belt. Item 230211 is the non-slip Plus. This record is 230210 only.

Which size is 230210?

• Savaria gives the Plus a fit of 29 to 49 in (73.5 to 124.5 cm).
• One size on this record. The wider non-slip range is a different version.
• Tell us the waist measurement and we confirm the range before you order.

How does a caregiver use the handles?

• Explain the plan. Keep the webbing straight, push the clip in until it locks, and squeeze the sides to open it.
• Place it snugly at the waist, or just under the arms. Clothing should not pinch, and a loose belt can ride up.
• Hold the padded handles. Check for wear, and practise with another caregiver first.

Fabric and washing

• 230210 is the padded velour Plus. The non-slip inner is item 230211.
• Machine wash up to 170 F (80 C). Air dry, or tumble on low, up to 104 F (40 C).
• Retire a belt that is worn, torn or will not buckle.

Compare

• Other walking belts sit on the transfer gait belt page. This one does not hang from a carry bar.
• When the person cannot take weight through the legs, a belt is the wrong aid. Start from patient lifts and slings, and ask which pair the maker names.
