Description

Item 230010 is the Savaria ErgoSlide 2100. It is a nylon tube for sliding someone up a bed or turning them. The handles have to lie flat on the mattress. Savaria says not to lift.

What is this tube for?

  • The 8 Aug 2019 sheet calls 2100 a long nylon tube with handles on both sides, for repositioning in bed without lifting.
  • The wider figure on the Savaria page, 61 x 46 in, is not this item. Plus, Plus II and the lateral-transfer 4400 are other codes.
  • A flat pair of sheets is the ErgoSheets, item 230100, not this tube.

Which size is 230010?

  • 61 x 28.25 in (155 x 71.5 cm). That is the only size on the 2100 sheet. The sheet writes the width as 28 1/4 in.
  • One item number on this record.
  • If the handles hang off the mattress, the tube will not work. Tell us the bed width and we confirm the fit before you order.

How do caregivers use it?

  • Place it with a log roll. Explain the plan and lock the wheels.
  • When sliding someone up, move the pillow to the headboard. Hands go through the handles near the shoulders and hips. Slide together. Do not lift.
  • Remove the tube after the move. Do not leave it under the person or on the bed unattended.

Wear, life and washing

  • Check for wear before use. Check the skin if it stays down for a long time.
  • The sheet's 4-year line is a service life, not a warranty.
  • Machine wash up to 170 F (80 C). Air dry, or tumble on low, up to 104 F (40 C).

Compare

  • The flat two-sheet pair is a different product. This page is the narrow tube only.
  • When the person must be lifted, start from patient lifts and slings. A held belt is listed with transfer gait belts.

Frequently asked questions

Is item 230010 the 46 in wide tube?

No. The 2100 sheet gives 61 by 28.25 in. The 61 by 46 in size is a different ErgoSlide.

Why must the handles stay on the mattress?

The sheet says the tube will not work if the handles hang off the edge. The width is 28.25 in, so the bed has to be wider than that.

Can staff lift with this tube?

No. The instructions say to slide or turn, and they say not to lift. It does not hang on a carry bar.
