Description
Etac Clean is a mobile shower commode chair: a shower chair, a toilet chair over the bowl, and a way of moving someone to the bathroom.
Who is it for?
It suits someone who needs a backrest and arm supports to sit upright, with a carer to help with washing and transfers. Etac sets the intended user at 146 cm (4' 9") or more, or 40 kg (88 lbs) or more. For a powered chair, see our tilt commodes.
Will it fit your bathroom?
The chair is 19.75" (50 cm) wide and 22.25" (56.5 cm) deep for the turn into the bathroom, and Etac builds it in 17.25", 19.25", 21.5" or 23.5" (44, 49, 55 or 60 cm) seat heights, fixed on each model.
Book a free home assessment and we measure your doorway and the seat height the person needs.
How do you set it up and clean it?
The arm supports swing away, detach and lock. Etac asks the carer to remove the armrest on the transfer side, lock the castors while the person sits down or gets up, and brake with the castors pointed forward.
The foot support folds under the seat and detaches. The frame and the polypropylene seat, back and arms wash down; Etac allows a washer-disinfector at up to 85 °C (185 °F).
How safe is it to use?
Etac rates the Clean for 286.6 lbs (130 kg) and warns against sitting on the front edge, standing on the foot plate, and wheeling over a threshold with a person in it: pull it backwards.
Which commode should you compare?
