Description
The Aurora PL480 is Golden's simple lift chair: the back and footrest move together, and the chair lifts you to stand.
Who is it for?
- Someone who wants one zone and a two-button control, not a power headrest or lumbar.
- Not for anyone over 400 lbs (181 kg).
- Not a bed. Golden's use is help to sit, recline and stand.
Which size fits the sitter and the room?
Height bands are a general guide, not a promise. Book a free home assessment if you cannot sit in one.
- Small: seat width 20" (508 mm), seat height 18" (457 mm). Guide: 5 ft 5 in and under.
- Medium: seat width 21.5" (546 mm), seat height 19" (483 mm). Guide: 5 ft 5 in to 6 ft.
- Large: seat width 23.5" (597 mm), seat height 20.5" (521 mm). Guide: 5 ft 10 in to 6 ft 2 in.
- Wall clearance when reclined: 15" (381 mm), 17" (432 mm), then 19" (483 mm). Golden does not publish a doorway width.
- Small is PL480-SMA, medium is PL480-MED, and large is PL480-LAR. Choose the size. The price is not a confirmed price for each size.
What this model leaves off
- No heat, massage, Twilight tilt, power headrest or power lumbar.
- Fabrics are Anchor and Sandstorm only.
- Designed in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, and assembled in China.
- A battery backup is listed. The sheet does not name the chemistry, so we confirm it before you order.

Can the lift stop part way?
Yes. The sheet lists full, mid and straight lift, so the chair is not limited to one lift height.
Where does the hand control live?
It routes through the side pocket. It is not docked on top of the arm.
The sheet lists a battery but no type. What is in the chair?
We confirm the battery chemistry before you order. Do not assume it matches another Golden model.
