How a transfer works
The hooks travel from 22.8 in to 66.1 in (580-1680 mm). A two-point bar with safety latches is fitted.
- The hand control raises and lowers the arm, and it opens the legs. Motion stops when the button is released.
- Use only a sling Handicare allows. The lowest limit on the lift, the bar and the sling is the one that applies.
Will it fit the room?
Outer base width runs from 26.8 in to 42.5 in (680-1080 mm). Base height is 4.9 in (125 mm). Measure the doorway and the space under the bed before you order.
It arrives folded. No tools are needed to stand the mast up.
Battery and a backup lower
Two 12 V, 2.9 Ah gel batteries charge from the built-in charger. Charge at least 4 hours before the first use.
- Lowering can be done by hand or by the electrical backup.

Is 60600009 the low-leg Carina?
No. 60600009 is the standard-height base. Low legs are item 60600014.
Do the legs open by a foot pedal?
No. On this code the hand control opens the legs. The pedal version is the EM.
Does the box include a sling?
No. The bar is fitted. The sling is chosen separately, and only a sling Handicare allows.
Can it roll into a shower?
No. The manual says not to use it in water, and not to charge it in a wet room.
