Description
Item numbers 8B0700 through 8B0200 are the Dual Access toileting sling. It supports the thighs, the low back and the torso, with a belt. It is for a seated move to the toilet or the tub.
Which lift does it fit?
- Handicare loop slings fit Handicare carry bars. Use the same colour loop on both sides.
- Short shoulder loops and long leg loops sit the person more upright. Pass one leg strap through the loop at the base of the other.
- Health Canada says the sling and the lift must both be rated for the person, and the maker must approve the pairing. Inspect for fraying (patient lifts and risk of fall).
- Ask us before pairing this sling with another brand's bar.
Who is it for?
- Someone already seated, moving to a toilet or a tub. The divided, padded legs can go on and come off in that seat.
- The belt is hook-and-loop. There is no head panel on these codes.
- Polyester only. It is not a leave-in-place spacer sling.

- XXS 8B0700, 450 lbs, silver trim. XS 8B0600, 450 lbs, red. Small 8B0500, 625 lbs, yellow. Medium 8B0400, 625 lbs, green. Large 8B0300, 625 lbs, blue. Extra large 8B0200, 1000 lbs, black.
- Side-retention straps are 8C0700 through 8C0200. They are not in this sling.
Care
- Laundry bag, up to 176 F (80 C). The sheet names polyester, vinyl and nylon.
- The 4-year line is a service life, not a warranty. Retire it if it is torn.

The 8C family, 8C0700 through 8C0200. This page is the 8B sling only.
Is the load the same in every size?
No. XXS and XS are 450 lbs. Small, medium and large are 625 lbs. Extra large is 1000 lbs.
Can this sling stay under someone in a chair?
The sheet says it is polyester only, for a seated transfer. It is not the spacer fabric Savaria leaves in place.
