Description
The Symbia 2.5 is a seat cushion made by Orthex in Canada, 18 x 15 in and 2.5 in high. It goes on the chair you already have, shaped by the maker to place the hips above the knees. A zipper at the back sets a slight decline, which Orthex says follows the natural curve of the lower back.

The foam and the cover
- The top layer is gel infused viscoelastic memory foam, over a support structure of high resilience polyurethane foam that the maker names Velva.
- The cover is a breathable knitted coconut polyester that machine washes cold; lay it flat to dry, with no ironing and no bleach.
- The foam is not washable. Clean it locally with a damp cloth only.
- Replacement covers are sold on their own, and we can order one with it.
- Orthex describes a pressure balancing system, in its words spreading body weight evenly to prevent discomfort and stress on the joints.
- The five year warranty is Orthex's own, from the date of purchase.
