Description
Savaria's Deluxe Bariatric Sling in the short tuck is a loop full-body sling for transfers rated to 1,200 lb.
Who is the short tuck for?
- A person who needs a bariatric cut, not a standard full-body sling.
- Transfers the instructions keep slightly reclined, so breathing stays easier.
- Not the long-tuck sling. The instructions call that one M921504.
Which size, and which bar?
Tell us your lift model and serial number and we confirm the fit before you order.
- Listed by the maker for: a suitable bariatric loop lift. No model name is printed.
- Do not hang the loops on a stud or clip bar.
- Size 1, M921517-1: around-the-body measure A is 31.5-43.25 in (80-110 cm).
- Size 2, M921517-2: measure A is 47.25-55 in (120-140 cm).
- Both sizes cap measure B at 29.5 in (75 cm). B is the side-view arrow on the sheet.
- Sling and lift ratings have to match. Health Canada states that limit.
What is the short tuck made of?
- Heavy-duty polyester, elastic sides, and full leg paddles with a glide face.
- Shoulder loops, inner leg straps and outer leg straps.
- A hygiene opening is part of this cut.
- Wash at 203 F (95 C). Tumble dry on low, max 122 F (50 C). Do not iron.
- Check straps, cloth and the label every use. Stop using it if anything is frayed or the label cannot be read.
How does it compare with other slings?
- Short tucks add fullness in the back. Long tucks are a different item for support below the waist.
- Browse full body slings and the wider sling range.
- For the lift side of the match, see heavy-duty patient lifts and patient lifts.
- A home visit can check the lift you already own: book a free home assessment.
Frequently asked questions
Does the neck roll come in the box?
The instructions draw a neck roll as its own piece. Ask us to confirm it is packed with the sling you order.
Why is measure B the same on both sizes?
The sheet caps B at 29.5 in (75 cm) for Size 1 and Size 2. Only measure A changes between them.
Can the person sit fully upright in it?
No. The instructions say to transfer in a slightly reclined position, so ask a clinician if that posture will not work.
Is the long tuck the same order?
No. This page is the short tuck, M921517, and the instructions use M921504 for the long tuck.
