Description
Amylior lists these brakes only on the Stella. The current Canada order form does not name another rollator for part CGR-FR-C. A Nexus brake, or a Triumph Escape brake, is a different part.
The pair mounts on the wheels. The right-hand unit is marked R and the left-hand unit is marked L. They sit apart from the cable brakes you squeeze to stop.
The owner manual says the black knob adds tension when you turn it clockwise, and eases off the other way. Set both sides. You may need more than one pass before the two wheels feel alike.
Fitting is not tool-free. Amylior's install note names a 4 mm Allen key and a 14 mm wrench. The knob turns after both bolts are loose, and the bolts go tight again once the tension feels right.
The Stella rollator is sold on its own page. These brakes do not come in that frame's standard pack. Armrests, footrests, and the transport bag are other part numbers.

Frequently asked questions
Can this pair go on another brand of rollator?
Amylior names the Stella only for this pair. A Nexus slow-down brake uses a different item number. Do not fit this pair to another brand.
Are these the brakes I squeeze to stop?
No. The Stella already has hand brakes. This pair only adds drag on the wheels so they turn more slowly.
Which way does the knob go?
Clockwise adds tension and slows the wheel. Turn both knobs, and check that the two sides feel even.
Does the Stella include this pair?
No. Amylior lists slow-down brakes as optional. The standard Stella pack does not include them.
