Description
The Switch-It Dual Pro steers a power chair from head movement. Its pads read how close the head is to the sensor and how hard it presses, so the chair speeds up, turns and slows smoothly.
Who is the Dual Pro for?
It suits a rider who can move the head but has little use of the arms or hands, and whose control is stronger on one side. Each pad is set on its own. Book a free home assessment or visit our showroom and we will set it up with you.
Will it fit my power chair?
The array needs a chair that takes an alternative drive control. The maker lists Penny and Giles R-Net with the Omni, Curtis Enable 50 with the Enhanced Display, and Dynamic Controls DX2 with the DX dongle.
How is it set up and adjusted?
A programmer sits in the back pad, so the pads are set with the rider in the chair. Press Set and Force together, choose a pad, then set the pressure for full speed and the speed within sensor range. An inactivate angle can also be set, so the back pad stops driving once the chair tilts past a chosen point.
Which pads and switches can I choose?
The maker sells long facial pads, about 6" across, and round spot pads 2" in diameter. Headrest mounting hardware is included, and reverse, mode and one further job can run from external switches on the pad.

Delivery, service and warranty
We fit the array and set each pad with the rider. The maker's instruction sheet prints one year from the date of manufacture, and we confirm the coverage in writing with your quote. The paperwork sits on our documents page.
How does it compare?
See our wheelchair accessories for external switches, and our power wheelchairs for the chair itself.
Frequently asked questions
Can the Dual Pro work like a switched array?
Yes. A dealer can set it to run off head distance, pad pressure, or a mix of the two.
Can one side be set differently from the other?
Yes. Each pad has its own force and proximity setting, so a weaker side can be easier to reach.
Does anything interfere with the sensors?
Keep phones and portable communications equipment away from the pads, and avoid driving under power lines.
