Description
Article 9136 is the sliding cover for the SystemRoMedic RollerSlide, the padded board used for supine transfers between a bed and a stretcher, x-ray table or shower trolley. The cover is the low-friction surface the user slides on; the rigid board underneath stays with it.
Which RollerSlide models does this cover fit?
- It fits the 175 x 50 cm boards: RollerSlide 9120 (light), 9145 and 9148 (flexi).
- The 85 x 50 cm boards take article 9156; the 60 cm wide boards take 9172 or 9177.
- The maker rates the RollerSlide range from 120 kg to 300 kg (265 lbs to 661 lbs) by model and by the gap being bridged, up to 20 cm (7.9 in).
Why replace the cover rather than the board?
- Only the cover wears and takes the soiling; the inner board keeps its strength.
- A new cover restores the glide for much less than another board.
How do I clean and refit it?
- Machine launder the cover; do not use fabric softener; hang dry or tumble dry on low heat.
- Wipe the board with disinfectant, and use 70% ethanol or 45% isopropanol if a policy requires it.
- Never use phenol or chlorine based cleaning agents on the board.
- Inspect the seams and the sliding face after each wash; replace a cover that is worn or faded.
Is the washable cover all I need?
The 9136 cover is the reusable base layer. If you also want single-use protection, article 9138 is a pack of disposable covers for the same 175 x 50 cm boards. Both are ordered through our patient lifts and transfer aids range.

Will this cover fit the short RollerSlide?
No. The 85 cm long boards take article 9156. This cover, 9136, fits only the 175 x 50 cm boards.
How do I know when the cover needs replacing?
Check the seams and the sliding face after each wash. Replace the cover when the fabric is worn, faded or no longer glides smoothly.
Does the sliding cover replace the disposable cover?
Not quite. The washable sliding cover is the reusable surface. The disposable covers are a single-use film that goes over it for extra hygiene.
