Description
The City 2 Plus is Travel Buggy's heavy folding chair. Black and silver are separate item numbers on the same maker page.
Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
- Travel Buggy rates the chair to 400 lb. Over 400 lb, this chair is not the right one.
- Net weight is 60 lb without batteries. Travel Buggy also says quick-release rear wheels bring the heaviest piece to 38 lb.
- A lighter carbon fold is a different model. Do not treat this 60 lb chair as that one.
- Other folds are under folding power wheelchairs.
Will it fit the rider and the car?
- Seat size is printed 17.5W by 19D, which is 17.5 in wide by 19 in deep. The back is 20.5 in. The cushion is 3 in. Seat to floor is 19.5 in.
- Between the armrests is 19.5-23 in with the included spacers.
- Unfolded size is 44 in long, 23 in wide and 40 in high. Folded size is 32 in long, 23 in wide and 13 in high. Folded width stays 23 in.
- The back reclines to 115 degrees. The footrest has three positions.
- Book a free home assessment before you count on a car boot. A non-folding chair is under standard power wheelchairs.
Batteries and air travel
- Travel Buggy lists a 24 V lithium battery. How many packs and what capacity ship with your build is confirmed with the order.
- Travel Buggy calls the chair airline and cruise approved in its class. Confirm the battery with the airline before you book.
How it compares
- The Aerolux 2C is a lighter carbon chair with its own limit and seat size.
- The wider range is under power wheelchairs.
