Description
The Travel Buggy Flightweight Dash 3 is a folding power chair built to be lifted in and out of a car. It weighs 42 lbs without the battery, folds to 13.5 in deep, and carries up to 265 lbs for 15 km.
Who the Dash 3 suits
- A rider who wants a chair for the boot of a car rather than a van with a ramp.
- A rider under 265 lbs who wants the lightest DASH so far, 4 lbs less than the last one.
Folding and lifting
- The battery comes off first, so the frame is lifted on its own. It is 46 lbs with the battery in.
- Folded it measures 30 by 24 by 13.5 in, and rolls along like a suitcase.
- Drive wheels are 12 in at the rear, with 8 in wheels at the front.
How it drives
- Two 170 W brushless motors give a 6 km/h top speed and a 10 degree incline, and the turning radius is 24 in.
- One Li-Ion 24 V / 10 Ah battery is included and gives up to 15 km (9.5 mi). A spare battery can be added for longer days out.
Seating and fit
- The seat is 17.5 in wide by 17 in deep with a 2 in cushion, 20 in off the floor, and the backrest is 19 in high.
- There is 18.5 in between the armrests, and we carry wheelchair cushions separately if the fitted one is not enough.
