Description
Triumph Mobility sells these as the Escape Slow Down Brake, a set of 2 for the Escape rollator. They are an add-on to the frame, not the hand brakes that come with it, and they give you a way to hold a lower top speed.
They fit the Escape rollator and, in Triumph's own words, do not fit the Escape Mini. No other model is named for them. If your rollator is not an Escape, tell us the model so the fit can be checked before you order.
The brake is a clamp that wraps a frame tube beside the wheel, with a red knob on top. The knob sets how hard the brake drags on that wheel. Two units come in the set, one for each side.
Triumph prints no weight limit, no speed number, and no list of Escape seat heights for this part.
This set does not include a rollator. It is not a handle. It is also not the brake sold for the Stella or the neXus, which are different parts on different pages.
Funding may help: see who may help pay. See rollators, four-wheel rollators, and rollator accessories. Ask us through contact us if the fit is unclear.
Frequently asked questions
Will these fit an Escape Mini?
No. Triumph says the slow-down brakes do not fit the Escape Mini. That is a different frame with its own accessories.
Can I still use the brake lever that came on the frame?
Yes. Triumph describes this set as an add-on for holding a lower top speed. Nothing in the maker text says the set replaces the lever already on the frame.
Do they fit a rollator that is not an Escape?
The maker names the Escape rollator and excludes the Escape Mini, and names no other model. Send us yours and we will check the tube.
