Description
Set the grip beside the wrist while the arm hangs at your side, press the button, and let it click into a hole. Snug the lock-nut so the button does not chatter as you walk. Try the new height on a flat indoor floor before a longer outing.
The round sponge fills the palm. That shape suits a hand that does not close well on a narrow straight grip. If the sponge twists, tears, or packs flat, change the grip rather than the whole cane. The spare is a separate part.
The tip meets the ground on a wide patch. Keep grit out of the tread, and change the tip when the pattern is gone. This shaft does not fold and it has no seat. A rollator is the next look if you need to sit between stops.
Funding may help: see who may help pay. Book a free home assessment if you want the height checked at home. Other grips and tips are under cane accessories. Questions go through contact us.
Frequently asked questions
Which hand should hold it?
Use the hand opposite the weaker leg unless a clinician has told you otherwise. A fitter can confirm that on a home visit if you are unsure which side is doing the work.
What if the button will not stay in?
The button has to sit in a hole, not between holes. Forcing the tube past a hole lets the shaft slip. Stop, line it up, and reseat it. If the button is bent, do not walk on it.
Why is there no shelf price?
This page is a quote. Ask us and we will price this cane for you. A number from another shop is not our price.
Is a cane enough on stairs?
Use a rail and take one step at a time. If stairs are the hard part, a home visit can look at whether a cane is the right aid or whether another walking aid fits the house better.
