The Airgo MiniQuad is a replacement tip that turns a plain cane into one with a wide, stable footprint. Four treads spread out under the shaft and the tip re-centers itself, so the cane stays standing when you let go of it.
What it fits
It fits most aluminium canes with a 3/4 in (1.9 cm) tubing diameter. The maker says it does not fit folding canes, so measure the shaft below the grip before you order, or bring the cane in.

Why a tip rather than a quad cane
The maker rates the MiniQuad 54 per cent lighter and 80 per cent more compact than a large base quad cane, so the cane keeps a small footprint in a hallway or a car while still standing by itself. It carries a 300 lb (136 kg) capacity, the same figure the maker gives for its canes.

The maker covers the tip with a limited 90 day warranty, shorter than the cover on a cane, so check the fit before it goes on.
