Description
The Beka Avero Premium Plus is a lifting care bathtub. It raises and lowers so a carer can wash a resident standing up, and it stands freely in the room with no floor anchoring, so carers reach it from three sides. It comes in two bath lengths, model 175 and model 190.
Who is the Premium Plus for?
The maker rates it for mobility groups 2 to 5, and it works with all modern care lifts, so a resident can be lowered in on a lift or bathed sitting in the tub.
Which of the two models fits your room?
Model 175 is the shorter tub and model 190 the longer one. Both are 33.5 in (850 mm) wide and are not anchored to the floor, so the room has to leave space on three sides. The 190 measures 91.9 in (2335 mm) front to back.
How does a bath work in it?
The tub lifts from 27.2 in to 40.9 in (690 to 1040 mm), so the carer sets the height and stops. The lowered foot area supports the resident, and your quote confirms whether the temperature displays for the spout, hand shower and bath water are fitted.
How safe is it to use?
The safe working load is 661 lbs (300 kg) with the patient and the water, and the most a resident can weigh is 485 lbs (220 kg). The tub has scalding protection on the hand shower and the bath spout, and safety modules that prevent incorrect operation.
How do you clean it?
The tub body is glass reinforced plastic, and the seat has a large hygiene opening for washing the intimate area. The maker's disinfection system is an option ordered separately.
How do delivery, setup and service work?
We deliver across Toronto and the GTA, set the tub level on its legs and walk your team through a bath. Our showroom is open to visit.
A fixed bathing unit is installed and is not returnable once used, as our return policy explains. The Premium Plus sheet and manual are listed on our documents page.
What does the maker's warranty cover?
Your quote states the Canadian warranty period for the Premium Plus.
How does it compare?
This is a bathing system: a fixed care tub a resident lies in while it lifts. A bath lift moves someone in and out of a tub, and the maker shapes this tub to give a secure hold with seat lifts.
Frequently asked questions
How long is the bath in each model?
Model 175 measures 83.7 in (2125 mm) front to back and model 190 measures 91.9 in (2335 mm). Both are 33.5 in (850 mm) wide.
How does a resident get into the tub?
With a care lift. The maker built the tub body and its base to work with modern care lifts, reachable from three sides, and the lowered foot area and back profile hold the resident once in.
How much water does it take?
About 220 L (58.1 gal) for the model 190 and about 190 L (50.1 gal) for the model 175, without a patient.
Which mobility groups does it suit?
Groups 2 to 5 on the maker's scale, and the maker designs it for use with care lifts.
