Description
The Beka Senta PUR L is a battery powered combi bath lift for a modern care bathtub. It rolls to the bed as a seat lift, and click-on stretcher wings turn the same lift into a lying surface for a resident who cannot sit up. BEKA Hospitec builds it in Germany and Savaria Patient Care supplies it in Canada.
Who is a Senta PUR L for?
It covers the maker's mobility groups 1 to 3 as a seat lift, and groups 4 and 5 once the stretcher wings are fitted. A resident who can still step across sits on the PUR seat; one who cannot be sat up is lifted on the wings.
Will it fit your care tub?
The maker says it suits all modern care bathtubs. It is 28.3 in (718 mm) wide, turns in a 43.3 in (110 cm) radius, and both rear castors lock. Send us the room measurements and we will check the approach.
How do you set it up and use it?
Charge the battery for about four hours before first use. Roll the lift to the bed, take the resident on board on the seat or the wings, wheel it to the tub and lower them in. One carer runs the lift from the hand control, which shows the battery level.
How safe is it to use?
The safe working load is 331 lbs (150 kg). The manual asks for the brakes to be on while the resident gets on and off, and the control box carries an emergency stop. If the power fails, the lift can be lowered by hand or electrically.
How do you clean and care for it?
The PUR seat pad lifts off for cleaning and can be replaced on its own, and the seat has a large hygiene opening with a lockable cover. The frame is stainless steel and aluminum. Our technicians service what we sell.
What sizes and options are there?
One size, item 920101008. Stretcher wings, side rails, a footrest, a bedpan holder, a digital patient scale, a spare 24 V battery and a wall charger are options. The wings are what turn it into the stretcher version.
How do delivery, setup and service work?
We deliver across Toronto and the GTA and show your team how it works. Bathroom items cannot be returned once used, under our return policy: please measure the room first. The maker's documents sit on our documents page.
What does the maker's warranty cover?
The operating manual sets out what ends the warranty and what counts as a wear part, but the maker publishes no warranty period for this lift. Ask us for the current Canadian terms before you order.
How does it compare?
A bath lift moves one person in a home bathtub; this one works in a care tub and can become a stretcher. A Niagara bathing system is a fixed bathing tub for a care bathroom. See the rest under bathing systems.
