Description
The Drive Folding Junior Walker, Two Button with 5 in Wheels, item 10247-4, is a steel two-wheeled walker sized for a child or a smaller adult.
What does it do and how does it work?
- Each side folds independently on its own push button, so one side can stay open in a tight space.
- The steel frame uses 1 in (25 mm) tubing and vinyl-contoured hand grips.
- Two fixed 5 in (127 mm) front wheels and two rear glide caps carry it.
- It weighs 8 lb (3.6 kg) and carries up to 350 lb (159 kg).
- A replacement wheel pair is Drive item 10109.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- It suits a child or a smaller adult who walks with a frame and does not need a seat.
- For a taller user, the adult Drive steel walker has handles from 32.5 to 41.5 in.
- It is not a chair: never sit on it or push anyone in it.
Will it fit?
- The handles adjust from 25 to 32 in (635 to 813 mm), below the adult frame's range.
- Stand with your arms relaxed: the grips should sit at wrist height.
- The frame is 24 in (610 mm) wide, so it passes a standard doorway but can be tight in a small bathroom.
- Measure the doorway and the car boot you will use; our free home assessment does it with you.
Using it day to day
- Set both handles to the same height, and open both sides fully until they lock before you lean on the frame.
- Use it on firm, level surfaces such as pavement and clinic floors; grass, gravel and snow are not suitable.
- Check the glide caps for wear and replace the wheels when the tread goes.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- The capacity is 350 lb (159 kg), and the frame comes in one width, 24 in (610 mm).
- It has no seat and no hand brakes.
- Replacement wheels are Drive item 10109; we can order a set.
How does it compare?
- The Drive deluxe folding walker is aluminium, 24 in wide and 7.5 lb.
- The Drive bariatric folding walker carries 500 lb.
- Our two-wheel walker range lists the other frames.
We deliver and set up across Toronto and the GTA, setting the handle height. Our service team fits replacement wheels.
